Values Discovery

The challenge, therefore, in implementing cultural transformation or whole-system change projects is to take the leadership group and the senior level managers through a program of personal alignment and group cohesion. They are responsible for creating the current culture, and they are the ones who must create the new culture.
                                                                                       - Richard Barrett, founder, Barrett Values Centre

We offer a process to help people reveal and better live their values. On an individual basis,  exploring our values helps cultivate self-awareness and taps into an inherent source of guidance and motivation for all aspects of life. When applied to teams, this process creates greater alignment, strengthens cohesion, and fosters a culture of transparency and authenticity.

Although we know that our personal values influence our behaviors, decisions and mindsets, we rarely know what our values actually are. Nor are we aware of whether or how they are being expressed. The Point of Value process, which includes an online values ranking and debriefing sessions with trained facilitators, supports people in discovering and connecting with their values. This generates satisfaction, meaning and energy in all aspects of life, and it fuels a new level of teamwork and productivity.

[The Values] work proved exceptionally valuable for us. We were able to connect with each other in a far more profound way than we had before. I noticed that some of the language crept into our dialogues, always a good sign that the content and your facilitation hit home.

The connection for me is that the values tool makes what we have been calling “thought or thinking habits” very, very visible. They do illuminate one’s personality enabling each of us to see it in action. Armed with this information each of us can, if we wish, begin focusing on re-shaping our character.
